What is your biggest indulgence in captivating new guests? (Some suites have 24-hour butler service; others have gold sprinkled cupcakes, and you?) As the penthouse of The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore – an art hotel, I have to epitomize both luxury and, of course, art. I am like a gallery to my guests: my walls are adorned with museum quality art pieces by famous artists such as Andy Warhol and Damien Hirst, not to mention the gorgeous views of Marina Bay and the Singapore’s skyline from every room. My vantage point of this modern metropolis is hard to match.
What sets you apart from other suites in this city? Stepping through my main doors, guests are greeted by the gorgeous, panoramic views of Marina Bay and the Singapore skyline. Singapore is a densely populated city so staying here is like retreating into a private sanctuary where you can still admire the metropolis from a vantage point. The Ladies and Gentlemen of the Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore also take exceptional care of the guests.
What would be your advice for a first time guest visiting? With an enviable location in the heart of Marina Bay, my guests are well-positioned to explore this bustling city! The hotel is within walking distance to some of the city’s most iconic landmarks which include Gardens by the Bay, the Singapore Flyer, the ArtScience Museum and the Merlion. I recommend speaking to the Ladies and Gentlemen in the Club Lounge who would be happy to plan a personalized itinerary based on your interests. Do also take advantage of our complimentary Club limousine service, which provides transfers to attractions within the vicinity.
What is your suite motto? Let me stay with you. I wish that the memories my guests have of their stay with me will last them for a lifetime.
What is a typical day in the life of a suite? (What happens in the interim after one guest checks out and another guest checks in?) The perfect balance of luxury and comfort does not come easy. Ever since I was renovated in 2016, I am pampered by various departments in the hotel to ensure that I stay in immaculate condition. Firstly, the Engineering team comes in to check that all my custom furniture such as my double oak-wood doors are not chipped and look perfect. They also ensure all my smart technology such as motorized blinds and entertainment systems are operating smoothly. Housekeeping then pays me a visit to give me some T-L-C. With my spacious size of 2,347 square feet, it is commendable that no part of me is neglected - and that includes dusting my resplendent crystal chandelier in the main dining room. Finally, the Food and Beverage team comes by to restock my wall-flushed bar stocked with liquor and spirits. What a day!
