What is the typical day in the life of a suite? Before I start answering this first question, I would like to welcome you to the historical city of Vienna and the Grand Hotel Wien, opened as the first hotel on Ringstreet Boulevard in 1870.
I invite you to enter and indulge in the true luxury of the imperial times in Vienna.

As my new guests eagerly await check-in, I am again brought back to tip-top shape by our great housekeeping team. In case the beige silk walls or any of the luxurious furnishings need to be repaired, our in-house engineering team is ready. After a final inspection from our Executive Housekeeper, I curiously await the arrival of the next guests.

What is your biggest indulgence in captivating new guests? To begin, my location. I am just a few steps from the famous Vienna State Opera and Kaerntner Street, the famous shopping street, and can be reached within 25 minutes from Vienna International Airport. I welcome guests with a bottle of red wine, a fruit plate, a beautiful bouquet of flowers, extraordinary petit fours that are homemade by the in-house patisserie and a bottle of mineral water. I also captivate my visitors with the en-suite coffee machine from the traditional Viennese coffee brand "Julius Meindl" and bathroom amenities from the Italian brand "Acca Kappa." Other amenities include 24-hour reception, concierge and room service, as well as limousine service, complimentary Wi-Fi and shoe shine service.

What sets you apart from other suites in this city? Vienna has a lot of other beautiful suites, but what sets me apart is the balcony with a unique view onto the famous “Wiener Ringstrasse”. Years back, the artists of the State Opera would come to the Grand Hotel Wien to practice their performance in one of the salons, before going on stage in the State Opera. Today you have an amazing perspective of the historical city of Vienna from the suite, and if you look down onto the street you can still imagine how it looked in times of Emperor Franz Joseph of Austria and Empress Elisabeth of Austria when you see the famous Fiacre (horse-drawn carriages) passing by.

What would be your advice for a first time guest visiting? Before exploring the beautiful surroundings, I would suggest first time guests have a look at what is just outside my door. You should go up to the seventh floor, where you can find two award-winning restaurants with terraces overlooking Vienna. “Le Ciel by Toni Mörwald,” awarded with two Gault Millau token and one Michelin-star, pampers its guests with international oriented culinary art. At “Unkai”, you can enjoy authentic Japanese cuisine at the highest level. If you are in the mood for cocktails, “Rosengarten” offers hot and cold drinks, including our signature “Grand Guglhupf,” with piano music in the evening. Our “Kavalierbar” boasts a great selection of fine spirits and cigars. If you would like to pamper yourself, I can suggest the 200 square meter Grand Spa N°605. It offers everything to complete your stay in Vienna:
a sauna, steam bath, separate women's area with its own sauna, relaxation zone, cardio area with the latest equipment, and one of the most comprehensive ranges of beauty and massage treatments in Vienna. If guests are up to exploring the city, the concierge is happy to help arrange a great day out and about.
