Suite Talk Q&A

  1. What is a typical day in the life of a suite? Every day I say good morning to our resident swans - Pukka and Chukka - that live in the lake in front of me. Before any guests arrive, our expert housekeeping team at Coworth Park runs rigorous inspections from room to room to ensure everything is in perfect shape. My fireplace in the living room may be lit in the cooler months to ensure the rooms are all snug and cozy, while in the summer the terrace will be all prepared for al fresco dining. My favorite past time is watching the exciting high-goal polo tournaments from my windows come May.

  2. What would be your advice for a first-time guest visiting? Enjoy long walks in the Berkshire countryside and wander the paths amongst the wildflower meadow during the spring and summer months. Don’t forget to explore the local area as we are located moments away from the Ascot Royal Mile and Windsor Great Park. Our new bike fleet menu gives you the chance to choose from riding tandem, atop a Penny Farthing or take the children in a Babboe Cargo around our country estate in style while cycling around the grounds. Indulge in delicious British countryside cooking from our executive chef Adam Smith. Guests can taste the finest in British ingredients and flavors from our specially created Best of British menu or appreciate one of our elegant wine dinners at Restaurant Coworth Park in collaboration with our preferred wine partners. Don’t forget to bring your riding boots and meet our horses for a gentle hack or book a polo lesson with Guards Polo Academy manager and professional polo player, Ebe Sievwright. For a quintessential British treat, try our delicious afternoon tea featuring amazing creations by our head pastry chef Lucy Jones.

  3. Is there a famous name, a particular street or monument that you most identify with? What inspired your style? My heritage and character has been influenced by the personality of my distinguished owners over time. Dating from 1776, my estate has passed through the hands of a long list of Lords and Ladies including the Earl of Derby who owned the estate for the early half of the 19th century. My proximity to Windsor Great Park and the Royal Estate influences my style and adds to my eccentricity.
