Giorgione Terrace Suite - Baglioni Hotel Luna
Located on the Baglioni Hotel Luna’s top floor, the stunning Giorgione Terrace Suite is spread out accross two levels with a cozy living room with romantic fireplace on the first floor and an elegant bedroom, one large full bath and a marble “salle de bain” on the upper floor. A unique feature of this exclusive suite is the Altana, a typical Venetian raised wooden terrace overlooking the city’s rooftops and the romantic lagoon, that will make your stay a unique and unforgettable experience.
What is a typical day in the life of a suite? After one guest checks out, the attentive Baglioni Hotel Luna’s housekeepers come to me for a remise en forme, to make the most of my look for the next guest’s stay. They do their best to meet and exceed all expectations, studying in detail the guest's preference and habits to make them feel at home. As one of the signature suites in the Baglioni Hotels Collection, the unique Italian family owned hotel chain is famous for their warm hospitality, and I am proud to welcome my guests with a typical Italian gesture: at their arrival I surprise them with a local gift, accompanied with a personal welcome letter from my General Manager. After having dressed me with beautiful details–fresh flowers always present–and having checked that everything is perfect, like the precious ETRO bathrobe and the ORTIGIA toiletries in my marble bathroom, I feel fully prepared for the guest to check in, which takes place in the privacy of my living room!
What is your biggest indulgence in captivating new guests? I am so proud to be one of the most precious jewels in the crown of the Baglioni Suite Collection. I have been conceived to offer an exceptional experience thanks to my special features–generous ambiance, precious details, an unparalleled view from my private terrace–and the valuable amenities I offer, like private transfer by water taxi, 24-hour butler service, unpacking and packing service, pressing of up to 4 garments per stay and much more. Here’s a little secret: I am one of the only suites in Venice featuring an Altana, a raised wooden terrace on the palazzo top floor. My Altana has been recently refurbished and now is a perfect combination of modern design and traditional Venetian style, a unique setting to sip a Spritz while admiring one of the best lagoon views in the city.
Is there a famous name, a particular street or monument that you most identify with? What inspired your style? As my name suggests, I have been inspired by a famous Venetian artist: the world renowned painter Giorgione who founded the Italian Renaissance painting. I am located on two levels: on the first one there is an elegant and cozy living room featuring an imposing fireplace adorned with hand-sculpted reliefs, while an elegant bedroom with frescoed ceilings and two large marble bathrooms are on the upper floor. Everything is enhanced by handmade craftsmanship and beautiful detailing, such as Venetian and French precious fabrics, and wood paneling adorning the walls and Versailles parquet. What pairs beautifully with my rooms is the majestic panoramic rooftop view of Venice from my terrace, that in clear weather stretches until the Dolomites.
