Suite Talk Q&A

  1. What is a typical day like in the life of a suite? I am the "best" Suite at InterContinental Madrid and the “Crown Jewel” of this emblematic hotel. My colleagues take care of every little detail to make sure that everything is perfect and arranged for the following guest: fresh flowers, candles on the terrace, a unique essence designed especially for me that gives off a particular scent in all my rooms.
  2. Is there a famous name, a particular street or monument that you most identify with? What inspired your style? Prestigious London-based company J2 Design, the firm behind the refurbishment of InterContinental London Park Lane, was responsible for my interior design. Beautiful pictures of The Alhambra in Granada as well as amazing mother-of-pearl and bespoke patterned Armourcoat walls adorn my interior.
  3. Who was your all-time favorite guest? Ava Gardner stayed with us over ten years in the 50’s. I would have loved to have welcomed her, but I am afraid that at that time I did not exist, and she used to stay in our Miró Signature Presidential Suite that you will hear more about in another Suite Talk conversation.
