Passionate about planning exotic destination weddings and a master at group meetings, Brandi excels in her role as Director of Valerie Wilson Travels, Meetings, Incentives & Fulfillment. Her greatest satisfaction is seeing the smiles on her clients’ faces when she creates the ultimate travel escape or superlative event.
Prior to joining VWT, Brandi parlayed her natural athletic abilities into a position in the sports event management arena. Leading up to game time, she handled every aspect of operations ̶ from security and media to finalizing details with the cheerleading squad and the band. Clients such as the NBA’s New Orleans Hornets and the Division 1 teams at the University of Maryland developed Brandi’s keen eye for detail and resourcefulness in planning complex, large-scale events.
Brides are amongst her favorite clients. She delights in being a part of one of the happiest times in their lives. With her expertise in romantic destinations such as Tuscany, the Amalfi Coast, St Lucia and Mexico, Brandi’s able to truly succeed in making their lifelong dreams of the big day a reality. “Clients bring me the paint and I get to make the picture come to life,” exclaims Brandi. In 2013, she orchestrated one her most notable event producing a fashion extravaganza at Chelsea Piers for internationally acclaimed fashion designer Giorgio Armani. With 1,800 attendees, this celebrity-packed event comprised a massive 25-year retrospective of his work, a chic haute couture exhibit, an exuberant runway show and a not-to-be missed after party. The event culminated with the Mayor of New York declaring it Giorgio Armani Day here in the Big Apple.
Brandi has enjoyed every moment of her past six years with VWT and credits a great team to her success. She absolutely loves being a part of painting the world peach. Her career accolades includes
being nominated and selected to participate in the inaugural Next Gen Bootcamp at Virtuoso Travel Week in 2010, the initial Bright Young Things Program at ILTM Cannes in 2011 and the debut GBTA Ladders program at GBTA Convention in 2014.
Brandi earned her bachelor’s degree in marketing from Louisiana State University. During her time as a Tiger, she played ruby and excelled as a sports journalist for the student newspaper. An avid runner, Brandi’s participated in numerous endurance races and marathons. One of her favorites involved a 127-mile ultra-relay starting in Baton Rouge and finishing in New Orleans during Mardi Gras. She also completed the Chicago Marathon.
