Jennifer Wilson-Buttigieg

Co-Owner & Co-President

Jennifer Wilson-Buttigieg firmly believes in following your passion, but at the same time she is a realist, knowing that you continually have to innovate as the world is constantly changing. Jennifer joined Valerie Wilson Travel in February 1991. Today, as Co-Owner and Co-President, she oversees the corporate and meetings divisions, plus manages airline relationships. While incredibly successful at sales and driving new business development, she is equally motivated by strategic thinking and evolving the future through continuing to build the company’s value-added amenities, including VWT’s newest offering, Suite Access™ by Valerie Wilson Travel.

Speaking in one unified voice on behalf of the travel industry is something Jennifer strives for as she serves on the ASTA Board of Directors and Executive Committee. Jennifer is the incoming Chair of the ASTA Corporate Council and Co-Chairman of ASTA Political Action Committee (PAC), as well as Co-Chairman of Government & Political Affairs Committee. Additionally, she sits on a variety of advisory boards both within the travel industry and in her larger community. She has received countless awards, including the first Luxury Travel Advisor Award of Excellence, Top Humanitarian Award, and the ISTA/ASTA Barbara O’Hara Advocacy Award. Condé Nast Traveler and Travel+Leisure named Jennifer a top Travel Specialist for Business Travel. She is regularly invited to speak as a luxury travel expert at conferences and frequently quoted in the press.

Jennifer’s never-ending desire to connect with, and embark on, the undiscovered – and to help her clients do the same – is what continues to drive her both personally and professionally. This curiosity to understand the world has taken her on extraordinary adventures, such as zip lining in Costa Rica and exploring the thermal spas of Iceland, before they became “trending” destinations. She travels frequently with her husband and son.

A graduate of Haverford College with a B.A. in History and a minor in Political Science, Jennifer also received her Executive M.B.A. from the Owner/President Management (OPM) Program at Harvard Business School. She began her career in hospitality as a Corporate Sales Manager of the Westbury Hotel in New York.

Jennifer is a seasoned golfer and her favorite golf destination is Scotland, where she enjoys the links course layout and the unpredictable weather conditions in any one round of golf.
